The blender looks as I expected. I haven’t been able to test it yet but a friend of mine has the same and is very satisfied with it.
Great product, excellent service

Noisy but powerful

I've been looking at reviews for high power blenders for a very long time. I didn't want to believe the hype and just go for one of the two biggest names - Vitamix or Blendtec - so held off buying anything until recently, when I got the extra push to buy something as I have a child with additional needs who is particular about the food she'll eat. I worried that her reduced diet was limiting the nutrients she was getting. Blended food would help her get variety and the texture she preferred and blending is said to make nutrients more available to the body. The most recent reviews convinced me that any restaurant was more likely to have the Vitamix than any other brand, which was an endorsement. And it's been going for a very long time as a company so it must be doing something right. The Pro 750 was my preference as I didn't want the digital display of the newer style.
The machine arrived in double-quick time (less than 48 hours from ordering on a Sunday! Well done to juicers.co.uk). The free gift of knives was a nice addition but would not have swayed the decision! The build quality and weight/stability is impressive. It looks like it really will last the 30 years I was reading it would. I've used it maybe 20x this first week - making smoothies, batter for scotch pancakes, vegan ice cream and sorbet, chopped veg - and soup from yesterday's leftovers (yes, it does come out hot.). I have a lot to learn about the machine but I am looking forward to trying things out.
Any downsides? Yes, it's noisy. I had to go out the room. My neighbours will love me... The chopped veg (wet method) were somewhat scrappy and I could have done it neater and as faster with a knife for the quantity I needed. While it has a self-cleaning function, it takes a fair amount of water to do the job and I hate paying for wasting water (on a meter) so maybe I can find a way to cut down on this. I would like the recipe book to have been less heavy on the eggs (as a vegan) and had more nice veggie recipes (I found the website Life is Noyoke, which fixed that, though).
Otherwise - looks like a good machine and I hope it gets even more fruit and veg into the kids: I already have one smoothie fan and am working on the others.
It was expensive, but I hope that means it will last. Under the 7-year guarantee, it works out at about 20p a day. If it lasts 30 years, that's less than 5p a day. I have convinced myself it's an investment...
A "Blend" between engineering & practicality

I've wanted to purchase a Vitamix for the best part of 10 years and finally got around to doing just that. Having seen cheaper blenders fail, I believe I have made an investment in the Pro 750 that will last me a lifetime. Used it every day since it was delivered. Love it.
Best blender I've used

Throw it whatever the task is and it will do it. The noise is acceptable even when loaded

This is a top of the class blender by far. It truly beats any other blender on the market and the price is definitely justified. It is an amazing piece of equipment in the kitchen and the pre-programmed cycles are very handy as you can just set the blender on the desired cycle and get on with doing other things in the kitchen while the blender does its job.
