A highly effective option for dehydrating ingredients, the Sedona Classic Dehydrator excels in many ways. It is a feature rich model that focuses on providing even dehydration performance while allowing for a multitude of user preferences. The Classic also endeavours to save time and money with a useful dual fan mechanism, that allows for optimised drying of different amounts of produce.
Among the many features of the Sedona Classic its dual fan dehydrating method is particularly intriguing. When used to its full capacity these fans work in combination to provide 600 watts of dehydrating power. However, when only a smaller capacity is required the dehydrating area can be halved with a closed tray, allowing for only one fan to be activated.
The end result is a faster dehydration process with smaller amounts of produce that is also more energy efficient, requiring just 300 watts to power the single fan instead of both.
User accessibility is key and through the digital control panel on the Sedona Classic, it is very easy for even beginners to get started. Through an array of buttons it is very easy to select various temperature levels between 30°C - 68°C and the entire process can be run on a timer as high as 99 hours.
The panel also utilises simple LED’s to clearly show the selected settings including the timer remaining, average temperature and even which fan(s) are in use.
The Sedona Classic Dehydrator seeks to provide quality throughout, and it has been built to last. Its door is made from tempered glass, making it easy to keep an eye on ingredients as they are dehydrated. This is further aided by an internal LED light, which lights produce even in dark areas. On top of that, the glass door has safety features that cause the fan and heater to shut off when the door is opened.
The Classic model also benefits from large BPA Free dehydrating trays, which have upturned edges, preventing food from falling off the sides. This allows more food to fill the tray and there is less risk of wastage.
