The KitchenAid 5KFC3516 mini food chopper is a compact yet highly capable appliance that remains versatile despite its relatively small size. Specialising in chopping, mixing and pureeing ingredients, it’s best suited to the production of dips, sauces and dressings.
The 5KFC3516 is a fast processor, and it is great at providing assistance with the production of homogenous mixes. To perform such a variety of tasks its 240-watt motor can be set to work at different speed levels, outputting more or less power to suit the situation.
In total there are 3 modes; Chop, Puree and Pulse. The Chop mode causes the motor to turn at around 2450 rotations per minute (RPM) and is recommended for standard processing tasks. The Puree mode instead outputs up to 3450 RPM and is best for making sauces and dressing homogenous. Finally, the Pulse mode is best for rough chopping or finishing a mixture.
For complete peace of mind, KitchenAid has built the 5KFC3516 from a selection of high-quality BPA free plastics. As a result, it is completely food safe and will not release any chemicals when exposed to high heat levels.
Additionally, the multi-purpose blade, which typically endures the most use, is made of stainless steel. This ensures it can handle years of continuous use without performance loss from wear and tear.
