Best Juicers For 2023

If you’re looking to buy your first juicer or upgrade from an existing one then you may well be feeling a bit overwhelmed. It’s understandable, there are a lot of juicers available these days and it’s tough to tell what makes one better than another. Therefore, to help you out, we’ve compiled a list of some cold press juicers we can wholeheartedly recommend based on our over 35 years of combined juicing experience. To cater for everyone, we’ll be mentioning models at a wide range of price points with a good selection of both vertical and horizontal slow juicers. So, if you have a specific price in mind, feel free to skip to the most relevant section.

Our Judging Criteria

In order to separate the truly great juicers out from the crowd, we assess models on the following criteria:
  • Juice yield and quality
  • Ease of use
  • Durability and build quality
  • Price
Juice yield and quality - In short, juice yield refers to how much juice is actually extracted from ingredients. Juice quality, on the other hand, refers to nutrient levels within the juice. Durability and build quality - This really is what it says on the tin. Are the parts made of high-quality, damage-resistant materials and has the juicer been manufactured to a good standard? Ease of use - Is a model easy to clean and assemble? How much effort is required during juicing and how long does it take? These are the questions we focus on for this criteria. Price - Since cheaper juicers will never be able to compete at the highest level on any of the previous criteria, we also account for price to highlight the diamonds in the rough. Lastly, if you’re quite new to juicers/juicing and don’t know the strengths and weaknesses of different juicer styles. We have a separate article you can find here that should get you up to speed. We highly recommend reading this to ensure you get the right sort of juicer for your needs.

If you’d rather watch than read, we’ve also summarised our top recommendations in this video.

Entry-Level Juicers

If you want to start juicing but don’t currently want to invest lots of money into it, we’ve got you covered. These are the models we feel are the cream of the crop at the entry-level: If you want to see the juicers in action the video is time-stamped to show you. Price is a key factor with all 3 models, and the Omega H3000D is the most affordable. It offers excellent value and outperforms other sub-£200 slow juicers we’ve tested. That said, the DU and CNC80 offer better juice yields, higher build quality, longer warranties, greater reliability and more accessories for a modest price increase. The DU is the best overall value, the H3000D is the most budget-friendly, and the CNC80 is the best specced. We haven’t included any vertical juicers here, as there currently aren’t any from reputable brands at this price point. If you need a vertical model, you’ll likely need to spend a little more.

Midrange Juicers

In stark contrast to the entry-level tier, the midrange tier is incredibly competitive and it features the most models by far. After a lot of consideration, these are our top picks for this group: If you want to see the juicers in action the video is time-stamped to show you. These models are broadly similar, offering strong juicing performance, good build quality and easy day-to-day use. The main standout is the Hurom H310. As a self-feeding mini juicer, it’s the quickest and easiest to use, clean and assemble, but it’s best suited to making 1 to 2 juices a day rather than serving families or juice cleanses. The horizontal models are very similar, with the 8007, 8008 and MM900 all based on the same juicer. The 8007 and 8008 are colour variants, while the MM900 adds a celery nozzle in place of some accessories. The Sana 707 is a more stylish alternative with an excellent accessory range. For vertical models, juice yields and build quality are generally comparable. The H100 is easier to clean and assemble thanks to its different mechanism, while the H-AA is a strong choice for anyone who prefers a classic screen-based design.

Premium Juicers

A step beyond the standard, premium juicers are designed to be the best at what they do and are always worth the investment. However, even at this tier, we feel these models are the ones that most deserve your attention: If you want to see the juicers in action the video is time-stamped to show you. Unlike the midrange models, these juicers differ quite a lot. They all score highly across our key criteria, but each one has a particular area where it excels. The Hurom H200 and H300 are the most similar. Both are self-feeding juicers with excellent ease of use, but the H300 improves on the H200 with an easier-to-clean mechanism and slightly better yields. The Kuvings REVO830 is a strong alternative. It isn’t self-feeding, but its auto-cutting mechanism, wide feed chute and solid juicing performance allow it to process most ingredients with minimal prep. For horizontal models, the Omega MM1500 delivers outstanding juice quality and yields, especially for under £1000. The Sana 727 Supreme offers more versatility, with a great accessory range and 4 speed settings, making it one of the best all-round juicers available. Finally, the Hurom M100 is worth considering if you want something different. It matches the H200 for juicing performance while also functioning as a powerful blender.

Ultra-Premium Juicers

Unlike the previous groups, this ultra-premium category is a bit unique, as it features 3 models all from the same brand. These are the: If you want to see the juicers in action the video is time-stamped to show you. Angel juicers sit in a tier of their own. They cost more than anything else on this list, but they also achieve perfect scores for juicing performance and build quality. Their twin gear mechanism delivers unmatched extraction, squeezing pulp exceptionally dry and producing nutrient-rich juice. They’re also made entirely from stainless steel, making them incredibly durable and difficult to damage. They aren’t as effortless to use as self-feeding juicers, but with only 3 main parts, they’re still easy to clean and assemble. If you’re happy to invest in a premium juicer and care most about juice quality and build quality, an Angel juicer is hard to beat.

Final Thoughts

If you’ve made it here, you’ve likely now experienced most or all of our current cold press juicer recommendations. However, while these are our top picks, that doesn’t mean that all the models we haven’t mentioned are awful. Lots of good juicers that we would happily use didn’t earn a mention, and in most cases, this was simply a result of them being outcompeted, normally on price or small differences in the accessories or warranty offered. However, if you decide to stray from these recommendations, we do highly recommend sticking with models from genuinely reputable brands. Lots of budget brands are good at seeming amazing on paper, but in our experience, they never live up to expectations in reality. Nonetheless, thanks for reading this far and we hope we’ve been able to help you at least narrow down your options or bring the ideal model for your needs to your attention. If not, feel free to give us a call or contact our support team via email. Our juicer experts would be happy to work through the options with you to ensure you find the most suitable model.
