Over the past few years many different juicers have been released, but none have been as compact as the Foodmatic juicer. It has many different strengths, including an excellent juice yield, which is achieved with its 80 RPM motor, providing high-quality and nutritious juice. It's compact design makes it very practical and it can be stored away nicely in a cupboard or even left on your counter-top without it feeling cluttered. On the face it would seem to be a new brand, but the Foodmatic hails from the family of Omega juicers and is the European version of the Omega CNC80 Compact Juicer. So don't be put off by brand, this juicer is as good as any other, even if you haven't heard of it before. Like the Omega models previously it has all the benefits of being more than just a juicer, it is a nutrition centre with this being able to make nut butter, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, mince herbs and garlic together as well as make frozen desserts and baby food.
During our testing, we found that the improved front end parts, including: the juicing screen, auger and pressure adjusting nozzle, all lead to fantastic juice quality with really dry pulp. We tested fruit and vegetables such as carrots, kale, apple, oranges, spinach and celery, with fantastic results provided for all of them. We especially found that the new juicing screen allowed the process of juicing to be much quicker with the design change compared to other juicers on the market.
All of the front end juicing parts are made from BPA-Free plastics, and this is especially important now with the health concerns of plastic leaching out into the juice. These plastics have also been rigorously tested to ensure they won't break easily. The most important juicing component of all, the augur, has recieved some special treatment and is made of an even more durable plastic called GE Ultem. This is known to be 8 times stronger than standard plastics, keeping the augur in good condition throughout its lifetime.
Another key benefit we found was the increase in the size of the feeding chute; this meant that we had to chop up the fruit and vegetables much smaller than in other juicers and allowed us to save time in the preparation and get into the juicing process right away.
The Foodmatic Compact juicer could possibly be our top product in terms of value. For it's price its an amazing opportunity, that provides good versatility with strong juicing performance, leading to a generally well rounded juicer. If you can't afford the more expensive options on the market and you want something a bit more premium than a Samson, this is well worth considering.
I have only had my juicer for a week but it has crunched everything I have thrown at it, fruits, roots and leafy greens. Very powerful, quiet and extracts maximum juice, pulp is left very dry. Cleaning also very quick and easy and makes juicing a real pleasure with none of messy aftermath of some other juicers. All in all, very pleased and juice consumption is up as a result.
