They share the same iconic design, planetary mixing action, and compatibility with KitchenAid attachments, but differ in included accessories, finishes, and available colours.
For everyday home baking, the KitchenAid 5KSM125 Artisan is an excellent entry point. It offers a 4.8L stainless steel bowl and enough power for cakes, cookies, bread dough, and batch baking. It’s ideal for casual bakers, smaller households, and everyday cooking and baking tasks.
The main difference is the included accessories. The 5KSM175 Artisan includes an additional 3L stainless steel bowl, a flex-edge beater for easier mixing, and a pouring shield. The 5KSM125 is the simpler, more affordable version with fewer included extras. Both models use the same motor size and have 4.8L bowl capacity.

Most mainland UK orders arrive the next day after dispatch, while deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and UK offshore islands may take up to two working days. International delivery times vary depending on the destination and courier service chosen. To qualify for next working day delivery, please ensure your order is placed before 15:00, as orders submitted after this time will be dispatched on the next available working day.
