Technology of the dual gear mechanism
The two gears in the GreenStar GS 2000 are responsible for the powerful crushing of the produce and the extraction of the highest amount of juice possible. Manufactured from stainless steel, they also feature bio-ceramic material and strong magnets. It’s these two latter components which are responsible for helping to elongate the shelf life of the juice without loss of nutrients and also for extracting a greater amount of enzymes and vitamins from the pulp.
The dual gears run at 110RPM, a very low speed, and it’s this which helps to prevent any rapid oxidisation of the nutrients. Another factor is the lack of any heat transfer during juicing; this also helps to protect the valuable enzyme content. As an example, carrot juice can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours after being juiced, with no substantial loss of nutrients.
